What is an Alfajor?
Alfajores are sweet snacks made by stacking two (sometimes more) round cookies with different fillings between them. The filling is usually dulce de leche. There are a lot of variations including fruit filings. They can be covered with powder sugar, glazed sugar, grated coconut or chocolate (white and dark chocolates).
